Couples of any religious denomination benefit from attending the marriage preparation workshop. In the marriage preparation workshop you are given the opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue as a couple regarding important issues that affect your relationship. Your involvement will help you affirm the commitment that you will be making to each other on your wedding day.

The marriage preparation workshop is a 1 1/2 day course held on a weekend. You will view presentations and participate in productive sessions with your spouse-to-be. At the end of the workshop, you will receive a certificate of participation.

- Family of Origin
Barb Farthing – Group Facilitator
Barb has an Early Childhood Education, a Bachelors degree from the University of Regina and is a Certified Canadian Family Educator. Barb has over 16 years of experience with CFS as a Community Program Coordinator and Group Facilitator. She has worked with a culturally diverse client population including children, teens, individuals, couples and families. Barb has worked extensively with young parents, families living in high-risk situations and families involved with Child and Family Services. Barb and her husband Fred are part of the Marriage Task Force team that supports marriage in the Diocese of Saskatoon. They have four grown children and three grandchildren.
