Parenting With Resilience

Parenting with Resilience is a 2 hour ongoing weekly support group, offered to parents who have had their children apprehended, or are at risk for apprehension. The group helps parents find their strengths and empowers them to tackle tough issues they face in order to achieve the goal of getting and keeping their children in their care.

Topics include:

  • Positive parenting
  • Attachment and bonding
  • Healthy relationships
  • Setting limits and boundaries
  • Self-care
  • Stress management
  • Non violent communication

Reviews from former participants (Spring 2021):

“It’s given me a better perspective on how important it is to be present and a healthy parent as a single mom. I’ve always left the program with something I had learned and taken home with me. It’s made me stronger as a parent and individually.” – Tanielle Jacobs
