Dads Matter is a program for fathers who are looking for additional support and guidance in their parenting. The program is designed to strengthen fathers’ understanding of themselves, their children, and their children’s mothers, and to provide a space to connect with other fathers on their parenting journey. By the end of the program, fathers will have gained new understanding, skills, and supportive relationships that will serve them in reaching their parenting goals.
Some of the topics covered in the Dads Matter program include:
- Attachment and bonding
- Positive discipline
- The power of play
- Managing stress and anger
- Navigating co-parenting

Program Facilitator – Bryce MacEwen
Bryce has a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Regina and a Youth Care Worker Diploma from Saskatchewan Polytechnic. He is also a Registered Social Worker with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW). His prior experiences working with children and youth at summer camps, as well as in foster care settings, provides him with a keen awareness of the challenges faced by families from diverse backgrounds.
Bryce practices from a person-centered and strengths-based perspective, empowering individuals as they pursue their goals. He creates a warm and inviting environment for participants to share their experiences, triumphs, and struggles, harnessing the strength and wisdom of each person in the room. Bryce also incorporates his interest in neuroscience and psychology to increase other’s understanding of their circumstances and provide them with tools for positive change.
Outside of facilitating programs, Bryce enjoys spending quality time with his wife, exploring the outdoors, and playing his guitar.
