Family-to-Family Ties

The Family-to-Family Ties program came into being because many families are motivated to become more self-reliant, yet lack the resources or support to move forward.

The Family-to-Family Ties program responds to participant families by linking them with caring, well-trained volunteers and dedicated staff who are there to encourage, support and listen.

Matching participant families with volunteer mentor individuals or families is done with careful screening and sensitivity to both participant and volunteer expectations. Once the match is made, ongoing professional support to both participants and volunteers is provided through educational and social events. The Family-to-Family Ties professional staff are available to support the relationship and assist in its development.

Teen Parent Program
Are you a teen or young parent? Have you ever questioned your ability to raise a child? Do you have questions or concerns about having a healthy parent/child relationship? Are you looking for support for yourself and your family? Would you like help in learning to manage day to day tasks and responsibilities?

Teen and young parents are matched with volunteer families/individuals in a mentor relationship. Parents have the opportunity for personal connections to the Family-to-Family Ties staff, educational opportunities, parenting groups, and referrals to community resources. Families grow and develop, becoming more self-sufficient and ultimately more engaged with the community in which they live.
